Accountability Reports
EPISD Under Two Accountabilities 2006
STATE ACCOUNTABILITY
In 1993, the Texas Legislature mandated the creation of the Texas public school accountability system to rate school districts and evaluate campuses. Academic Excellence Indicator System(AIES)
An annual report from the Texas Education Agency, required
by state law, describing the educational performance
of the district and of each campus in the district, including
accountability, student performance, student and staff
demographics, tax, budgeted expenditures, program, and
class-size data.

School Report Card (SRC)
A report from the Texas Education Agency on the academic
progress of each campus in EPISD containing selected data
from the AEIS reports.
The Gold Performance Acknowledgment (GPA) system acknowledges districts and campuses for high performance on indicators other than those used to determine accountability ratings. These indicators are in statute (Texas Education Code) or determined by the Commissioner of Education.
